The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued important warnings about the weather in Istanbul and Turkey.

In the western regions of the country, temperatures are expected to remain around seasonal norms, while in the inner and eastern regions, temperatures will continue to be above seasonal norms. Thunderstorms and heavy rain are expected especially on Thursday and Friday in the eastern Black Sea and northern Central Anatolia.

In Istanbul, despite the rain, temperatures are expected to reach 31 degrees on Thursday. This indicates that temperatures will remain around seasonal norms despite the rainy weather.

Citizens are advised to be prepared for the rains. Those planning to travel are advised to be cautious.

A storm warning has been issued for the Sea of Marmara. A storm with a force of 6 to 8 is expected to blow from the north and northeast starting from noon tomorrow.
