An important development has occurred in Antalya! Büşra Özdemir has been elected as the Deputy Mayor of Antalya.

Following the recent arrest of Mayor Muhittin Böcek, Büşra Özdemir was elected as deputy mayor with 75 votes. Other parties did not nominate candidates.

In her speech, Büşra Özdemir stated, "I promise not to disappoint the people of Antalya while carrying this honorable trust." She emphasized that she is a temporary representative of Antalya's will.

The new deputy mayor, Büşra Özdemir, was born in 1988 in Antalya. A graduate of Başkent University Faculty of Law, she began her legal career in 2013 and was elected as a member of the Konyaaltı Municipality Council in 2014.

Özdemir expressed, "I am here as a Yörük girl and a Republican woman who will take care of the legacy of the child of the Taurus Mountains," thanking all political party groups for their support.
