Ankara Mayor Mansur Yavaş attended the funeral of Manisa Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek. In his speech, Yavaş emphasized Zeyrek's life and contributions.

Yavaş stated, ''We are saddened. It is of course an unexpected event. But this is the life of administrators. He had been mayor for over a year, but we saw how beautifully he served and how he acted for the people at his funeral.''

Mersin Mayor Vahap Seçer also expressed, ''Our condolences. He was a valuable mayor. He did great services in a short time.''

Ferdi Zeyrek's funeral was brought to the municipality building in a vehicle adorned with Turkish flags and the flag of Manisaspor. Zeyrek's mother, wife, and children were also present at the ceremony.
