CHP Vice President Deniz Yavuzyılmaz announced the drilling scandal in the Eastern Mediterranean. This situation raises concerns about violations of Turkey's continental shelf rights.

Yavuzyılmaz stated that the Greek Cypriot Administration has conducted drilling 105 times in areas declared with NAVTEX on January 19, 2025. This situation violates Turkey's rights.

He emphasized that the Greek Cypriot Administration is extracting resources from the seabed belonging to Turkey. A strong response from Turkey is necessary in this regard.

Yavuzyılmaz criticized the AKP for remaining silent, stating, "While the AKP acts bravely towards its youth, it behaves like a kitten in this matter,".

He concluded by stating, "It is essential to plant our flag in this parcel," calling for the protection of Turkey's rights.
