The water level at Kayalıköy Dam in Edirne has reached dead volume. This situation has led the Edirne Municipality to start drawing water from Süloğlu Dam.

In Tekirdağ, 13 new wells have been drilled to meet water needs, bringing the total number of wells to 417.

Edirne Mayor Filiz Gencan stated that the water crisis has reached serious dimensions. Opening wells alone is not enough; conservation is also essential.
