In Van, simultaneous disaster drills were conducted by the Ministry of Education. Students learned how to behave during disasters.

The drills were part of the 'Green Homeland - My School is a Solution for the Future' events. Students had the opportunity to learn correct behavior patterns under the guidance of their teachers.

Provincial Director of National Education Mehmet Nurettin Aras emphasized the importance of the drills, stating, 'Our greatest strength against disasters is knowledge, preparation, and solidarity.'

After the drills, students received the 'Disaster and Emergency Card'. This card encourages families to prepare disaster kits and identify gathering areas.

Throughout October, events focusing on disaster awareness and first aid will be organized in collaboration with AFAD and other partner institutions.
