Fire Disaster: Cemeteries Also Damaged

The fire disaster has caused significant damage in the Balandız and Kırtıl neighborhoods. The fire that started on August 13 led to the evacuation of 1,851 people from 984 households.

After the fire was brought under control, it was revealed that cemeteries were also damaged in the areas where the flames were extinguished. This situation further highlighted the extent of the fire.

A similar fire occurred in Mersin's Silifke district. Teams worked hard to bring the fire under control. Some houses and animals were damaged due to the fire.

Firefighting teams intervened with 4 planes, 8 helicopters, and hundreds of personnel. The fire was brought under control, but damage assessment work continues.

Evacuated citizens were placed in safe areas. Fire extinguishing efforts are being carried out meticulously.
