34-year-old Gönül K. was talking on the phone while having a picnic with her family in a forested area when lightning struck her. Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene.

Gönül K. was transported by ambulance to Söğüt State Hospital. After initial treatment, she was transferred to Bilecik Training and Research Hospital, where her life-threatening condition was confirmed.
