Istanbul's peace operation was conducted to enhance security. On May 12, during the inspections, 1017 people were arrested.

A total of 335,231 individuals were checked during the operation. Out of these, 557 were wanted for various crimes and were arrested.

During the inspections, 18 unlicensed pistols, 3 rifles, and 13 blank-firing pistols were seized. Additionally, 1592 grams of drugs and 133 drug pills were found.

Officials from the Istanbul Police Department stated that similar inspections will continue to ensure the safety and security of citizens. Such operations aim to enhance the sense of security in the community.
