Climate change and global warming have become one of the most significant issues of our time. The General Directorate of Meteorology has announced that temperatures in Turkey will rise and precipitation is on the way.

According to the latest forecasts, temperatures across Turkey are expected to rise by 4 to 8 degrees. The increase in temperature is anticipated to start from the interior and northern regions. However, along with this temperature rise, rainfall will also be significant.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected in the Aegean, Mediterranean, and Central Anatolia regions. These rains are predicted to be particularly strong in southern Central Anatolia and the inner parts of the Mediterranean.

Temperatures are expected to rise until the middle of next week. For instance, temperatures in Ankara may reach 26, in Istanbul 27, and in Izmir 29 degrees.

We should think about what we can do as individuals to combat climate change. We need to increase our water consumption during hot weather, save energy, and take steps to protect nature.
