Additionally, the takeover of advertising economics by major internet platforms is highlighted as a factor threatening the financing of journalism.

It is noted that local press outlets are rapidly closing down, leading to an unprecedented increase in 'news deserts' across the country. This situation poses a significant threat to the healthy functioning of democracy.
