A bribery investigation at Antalya Metropolitan Municipality has led to the arrest of six individuals. This operation was conducted in response to ongoing allegations of corruption and bribery within the municipality.

The investigation is being carried out by the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, and Mayor Muhittin Böcek has been detained since July 5. Those arrested include E.B., M.A.C.D., E.T.Ç., S.Ç., M.K., and Ö.Y.

Searches were conducted at the homes and workplaces of those arrested. Among the previously detained individuals are former daughter-in-law Z.K. and son Gökhan Böcek.

These developments in Antalya have once again brought corruption allegations in local governments to the forefront. Citizens are expecting more transparency and accountability to prevent such incidents.
