Important developments regarding retirement age and the new system are here!

As part of the Medium Term Program, the Individual Retirement System (BES) will be transformed into the Complementary Retirement System (TES). This system aims to provide supportive income to retirees. The retirement age has been set at 58 for women and 60 for men.

A 3% deduction will be made from employees' salaries each month, with an additional 30% state contribution. The new system is expected to be implemented in the second quarter of 2026.

Experts emphasize the importance of this system for protecting retirees' welfare. To qualify for retirement, individuals must remain in the system for at least 10 years.

It is stressed that retirement applications should be made on time. Otherwise, there may be a loss of pension income.
