A heat wave is taking over Turkey!

According to the latest forecasts from the General Directorate of Meteorology, the weather will be clear in most parts of Turkey. Local showers and thunderstorms are expected in Trakya, Kars, and parts of Van later today.

Temperatures are expected to drop below seasonal norms starting Sunday in the northern regions, with rain accompanying the drop. The Marmara region is expected to be partly cloudy, gradually becoming more cloudy.

5-day weather forecast for Istanbul: Today partly cloudy, temperature 30°C. Tomorrow partly cloudy, temperature 27°C. Sunday cloudy, temperature 26°C. Monday partly cloudy, temperature 30°C. Tuesday partly cloudy, temperature 31°C.

Temperatures are expected to remain above seasonal norms, especially in the Aegean and Mediterranean regions where temperatures may reach 37 degrees.
