The deputy mayor election in Ceyhan Municipality was held with great excitement. CHP candidate Sevil Yıldız won against the People's Alliance candidate Mustafa Kiraz.

Following the arrest of Kadir Aydar, who was removed from office due to an investigation by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Sevil Yıldız led the first round with 21 votes.

In the second round, Yıldız received 20 votes while Kiraz remained at 11. The third round resulted in the same votes, leading to Yıldız's election as deputy mayor.

This election marks an important turning point for the people of Ceyhan. Sevil Yıldız stated that she will continue to work for the future of Ceyhan after taking office.

Anıl Tanburoğlu, the CHP Adana Provincial Chairman, emphasized that Yıldız's election represents the will of the people of Ceyhan.
