University Graduates Struggle with Unemployment

University graduates are struggling with unemployment. As the number of job seekers increases in Turkey, graduates are waiting at İŞKUR.
According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the broad unemployment rate has reached a record 32%. The number of unemployed has reached 13 million. This situation has become a major issue for university graduates.
It is noted that 25% of those applying to İŞKUR are university graduates. 523,608 people are waiting in line to find a job.
Among the professions with the highest placement rates are tourism and hospitality workers. However, this situation reduces the chances of graduates finding jobs.
With the İŞKUR Youth Program announced by President Erdoğan, university students have the opportunity to work without disrupting their education. This program provides both experience and financial support to students.
Students gain work experience while studying at their universities. This situation increases their chances of finding a job after graduation.
