DEM Party Requests Visit to Ekrem İmamoğlu

The DEM Party is applying to the Ministry of Justice to visit detained Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu. This visit will be conducted by the party's co-chairs.
İmamoğlu was detained on March 19 and arrested on March 23 on charges of corruption, which has significantly impacted the political atmosphere in Turkey.

The visit will be conducted on behalf of co-chairs Tülay Hatimoğulları and Tuncer Bakırhan, along with the assistant general chairman responsible for local governments, Mehmet Rüştü Tiryaki.
Attendees for the visit include Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Özer, former Van co-mayor Bekir Kaya, and Can Atalay, one of the detainees from the Gezi case.

The DEM Party views this visit as an important step in changing the political climate in Turkey. It will demonstrate the party's stance and support for İmamoğlu.
