In Greece, a ban has been placed on demonstrations held in support of Palestine.

The Hellenic Police (ELAS) banned the events scheduled for "Global Action Day for Palestine" in Larisa due to the opening of the "Etz Hayim" Synagogue on the same day. This decision was made for security reasons.

The announcement stated that extensive security measures would be implemented around the synagogue and that no gatherings would be allowed in the area. Additionally, a large protest is expected to take place tomorrow in Syntagma Square, Athens, in support of Palestine.

Organized by the Workers' Union PAME, affiliated with the Greek Communist Party, demonstrators marched to the US and Israeli embassies in Athens. They chanted slogans like "Freedom for Palestine" and "There can be no peace without justice."

Protesters urged the Greek government to take a stand on the right side of history and support Palestine. Such actions could influence the political dynamics in the region.
