Discussions on pension increases are ongoing in AKP circles. Abdullah Güler highlighted the importance of the TÜİK data to be announced in July.

In response to questions about a possible interim increase in the minimum wage, Güler stated, "Everything has its time." He mentioned that the issue will be evaluated in a meeting at the beginning of July.

Güler reminded that the current minimum wage is 22,104 lira, and that the salaries of civil servants and retirees will also be reviewed after the data is released.

According to Turkish-İş, the hunger threshold for a family of four is calculated at 25,092 lira, while the poverty threshold is 81,734 lira. This situation seriously affects the living standards of retirees and minimum wage earners.

Güler stated, "These will be evaluated when the time comes," trying to respond to citizens' expectations. However, many found these statements insufficient.
