Historic Step for Turkish as an Official Language in Europe

Turkish has been recognized as an official language in Kosovo's North Mitrovica Municipality!
This decision will facilitate access for Turkish communities to public services and local government processes in their own languages. Turkish has been declared an official language in the municipalities of Mitrovica, Pristina, and Lipjan.
This development is of great importance for the protection of cultural rights and the strengthening of multilingual structures. Turkish will be used in municipal correspondence, official documents, and signage.
The official language status of Turkish is considered a historic step for the Turkish community in Kosovo. This will contribute to the international recognition of Turkish culture and language.
Turkish is not only an official language in Turkey and the TRNC but also recognized at the local level in countries like Iraq, North Macedonia, and Romania.
