CHP Deputy Veli Ağbaba made a strong statement against the new tax regulation. This regulation foresees collecting an additional 325 billion lira from the public.

Ağbaba described this situation as 'unarmed robbery' and stated that the tax burden on the public will increase. He remarked, "Soon, you will be taxing the dead too."

Pointing out that 60 billion dollars were lost due to operations against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Ağbaba said, "If you hadn't done this coup, there would have been no need to impose new taxes on the public."

Sadullah Kısacık from the Yeniyol Group stated that the regulation is a burden bag that will be filled in the TBMM and placed on the public.

MHP's Mustafa Kalaycı expressed that this regulation does not ensure tax justice and will lead to informality. He also called for a new amnesty regulation for the public's debts.
