Ekrem İmamoğlu stated that Istanbul is the right city for Ukraine-Russia negotiations.

Imamoğlu welcomed the efforts to end the 3.5-year war in Ukraine, stating, "A lasting peace depends on ensuring Ukraine's security and sovereignty."

He emphasized that Turkey, possessing one of NATO's strongest armies, should also take its place at the negotiation table.

He believes that Istanbul is the right city for negotiating an agreement that will cement peace.
