Mansur Yavaş announced that Ankara Municipality has decided to remove help stands for SMA and DMD patients.

The Istanbul Governorate announced the removal of SMA and DMD help stands set up in public areas. This decision was made based on security vulnerabilities and complaints received.

The governorate stated that no permission will be granted for loud fundraising activities and that these stands will not be allowed to be reestablished.

It was expressed that fundraising requests for the treatment costs of SMA and DMD patients could be made with the permission of the governorates.

The implementation of a similar approach in Ankara is seen as an important step for families fighting these diseases.
