Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Ibrahim Yumaklı made important statements regarding natural disasters and forest fires.

Yumaklı stated that Turkey is among the countries with the highest afforestation rates. He emphasized that 96% of the fires are human-induced.

He expressed that burned areas cannot be opened for construction and must be reforested. He invited everyone to participate in tree planting on November 11.

Minister Yumaklı announced the goal of planting 550 million trees. He emphasized the importance of contributions from all citizens in this mobilization.

He also mentioned that memorial forests will be established for those who lost their lives in Gaza. Forests will also be created in memory of those who died in the fight against fires this year.

Yumaklı invited citizens to protect nature and be cautious against fires. He stated that everyone must do their part to prevent fires.
