Recent earthquakes and floods in Istanbul have raised concerns among citizens. Especially, the earthquakes in Buyukcekmece have been felt in the Marmara Sea.

Kandilli Observatory and AFAD reported that the magnitude of the earthquakes in Istanbul ranged from 2.9 to 3.2. Their depths vary between 6.91 km and 11.9 km, indicating no adverse situations have occurred.

However, floods have also affected some areas of Istanbul. Warnings about water flooding were issued, especially during heavy rainfall days. It is crucial for citizens to be careful and take necessary precautions.

AFAD recommends citizens check if there is a fault line under their homes by accessing the fault line map through e-Government. This map can be viewed using the Turkish ID number and e-Government password.
