Significant success has been achieved in corruption cases through mediation.

Justice Minister Tunç stated in a social media post that the mediation method is being effectively implemented across Turkey. He emphasized that conflicts in social life are resolved amicably through this method.

Tunç announced that since January 1, 2017, negotiations have been completed for 2,345,914 files, with agreements reached in 1,947,140 files. He highlighted that the agreement rate has reached 83%.

The mediation process ensures that the victim's damage is quickly compensated and that the offender accepts responsibility for the crime. This facilitates access to justice and alleviates the workload of the judiciary.

Minister Tunç stated that efforts to develop alternative dispute resolution methods will continue without slowing down. This will create a justice system based on the rule of law that is timely and predictable.
