Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan had an important phone call with his Saudi counterpart Faysal bin Ferhan. They discussed the situation in Gaza during this call.

They evaluated possible steps towards recognizing the state of Palestine within the framework of the resolution adopted by the United Nations General Assembly. Additionally, they exchanged views on the current situation in Syria.

In the discussion, efforts to establish a ceasefire in Gaza were also evaluated. Preparations for upcoming meetings regarding Palestine were also discussed.

According to sources from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hakan Fidan also addressed the security situation in the region during his conversation with his Saudi counterpart.
