A forest fire in Denizli’s Buldan district was marked by the bravery of CHP Mayor Mehmet Ali Orpak.

The fire broke out at 14:51 in Hasanbeyler Neighborhood. Teams quickly intervened with 5 helicopters, 4 fire trucks, and 44 personnel. The fire was brought under control after approximately 3 hours of effort.

During the fire, Mayor Orpak was coincidentally in the area and attempted to fight the flames with branches after the water ran out. This moment showcased his courage and determination.

Mayor Orpak noted that he was almost surrounded by flames as the fire grew. The fire affected an area of 2 hectares, and villagers rushed to help.

This incident once again demonstrated how brave and determined local leaders can be in the face of natural disasters. Orpak stated, "When the water ran out, there was no choice but to intervene like this."
