Recent chain reaction accidents in Istanbul are raising questions about traffic safety in the city.

In a recent incident in Çekmeköy, a public bus collided with a parked taxi and crashed into a bus stop where passengers were waiting. One person lost their life, and five others were injured, with one in critical condition.

A similar chain reaction accident occurred in Beyoğlu, involving two public buses and nine other vehicles. Five people were injured, prompting the dispatch of fire, medical, and police teams to the scene.

The increase in accidents highlights the need for drivers to be more vigilant. The police and IETT have launched investigations into the accidents and stated that safety measures will be enhanced.
