Cabin Baggage Fees on the Agenda at the Cabinet Meeting

A cabinet meeting was held at the Turkish Grand National Assembly, and baggage fees were brought to the agenda.
The new proposal allows only small handbags that fit under the seat for free, while charging fees for other cabin baggage. This targets low-cost airlines.
Consumer organizations are opposing this regulation, citing the EU Court of Justice's decision that "reasonable-sized carry-on baggage is a basic ticket right." This has led to discussions among passengers.
In terms of delay compensation, passengers can receive between 250–600 euros for flights delayed by more than 3 hours. This is seen as an important development in protecting passengers' rights.
