Ümit Özdağ's Strong Reaction to Government Traffic Fines

Ümit Özdağ made strong criticisms against the government during a press conference.

Ümit Özdağ made a strong statement in Parliament, criticizing the government.

He argued that the increases in prices and penalties affecting citizens' daily lives have become a deliberate policy. "This government, which cannot be a social state, has turned Turkey into a country of taxes, increases, and ultimately penalties," he stated.

Özdağ criticized the inclusion of traffic fines as a projected income item in the budget, questioning, "Is this how a budget is made?" He emphasized that this reflects the government's attempt to control citizens.

He stated that instead of monitoring public resources under the pretext of traffic safety, the government is trying to control citizens, saying, "This government, which has no other purpose than to impose fines, is draining citizens' pockets while channeling resources to affiliated companies through radars and absurd speed limits."

Finally, he concluded with a warning: "On one hand, taxes, on the other hand, increases, and now absurd fines… If this continues, there will be no drivers or vehicles left to fine on the roads."
