Bayrampaşa Municipality vice presidency election cancelled.

The vice presidency election at Bayrampaşa Municipality has been cancelled. Following the arrest of CHP's Hasan Mutlu, the election faced an AKP objection.

The election took place between AKP's candidate İbrahim Akın and CHP's candidate İbrahim Kahraman. After a tie in the first four rounds, a draw was held, and CHP's Kahraman became the vice president.

AKP claimed the election results were fraudulent and took the matter to court. The Istanbul 8th Administrative Court decided to annul the election won by CHP.

This process marks a period filled with corruption investigations and arrests at Bayrampaşa Municipality. Following Hasan Mutlu's arrest, significant uncertainty arose within the municipality.
