The vice presidency election at Bayrampaşa Municipality has been cancelled. CHP's candidate İbrahim Kahraman was elected through a lottery. However, AK Party's objection led to the Istanbul 8th Administrative Court halting the election process.

Tensions during the election process were notable. In the first round, both CHP and AK Party received equal votes, leading to a lottery. Kahraman was declared the vice president through this lottery.

AK Party has initiated legal proceedings for the cancellation of the elections. The Istanbul Governorship argues that the elections conducted after Hasan Mutlu's arrest were contrary to procedures and laws.
