YSK made an important decision regarding the continuation of CHP's Istanbul district congresses. Congresses cannot be halted in Sarıyer, Tuzla, Bakırköy, Başakşehir, and Ataşehir!

On September 5, 2025, the Supreme Election Council annulled the decisions to halt CHP's congresses, citing complete unlawfulness as the reason.

CHP argued that the district election boards halted the congresses based on a court ruling. However, YSK did not accept this and decided to allow the congresses to continue.

In YSK's 9-page reasoned decision, it was emphasized that judicial decisions cannot directly affect the internal workings of political parties. This situation will not affect CHP's congress processes.

This decision allowed the continuation of CHP's district congresses within the framework of the 39th Ordinary Congress process. Now all eyes are on how the congresses will unfold!
