Recent fires in Giresun highlight the impacts of hurricanes and storm disasters.

In recent days, fires in Giresun have led to the destruction of a ton of hazelnuts. The fire broke out in a warehouse owned by Ramazan Bal for unknown reasons. Bal is considering the possibility of arson, stating, "A year of my labor and livelihood has been lost."

A similar fire occurred in Tirebolu, resulting in another ton of hazelnuts being destroyed. The causes of the fires are being investigated, with police and fire teams conducting inquiries at the scene.

Additionally, a fire in a strawberry-loaded truck on the North Marmara Highway resulted in the loss of 6 tons of fruit. These incidents once again highlight the impact of storms and hurricanes on agriculture.

These disasters in Giresun also pose risks for agricultural workers. A pickup truck overturned, resulting in one death and nine injuries. More measures need to be taken to prevent such incidents.
