New developments are emerging in the bribery investigation at Antalya Metropolitan Municipality.

In the latest operation, 5 individuals were arrested, including Zeynep K., the former daughter-in-law of Mayor Muhittin Böcek. The investigation into bribery allegations is deepening.

Of the 17 suspects detained, 7 were released, while 14 were referred to the court. During this process, the assets of local television owner M.O.K. were also seized.

The amount of bribery was reported to be 195 million lira. It is alleged that this money was deposited into currency exchange office accounts and converted into gold through jewelers.

These events in Antalya have caused a significant public outcry. Citizens are demanding more measures to prevent such corruption in municipal management.
