Transportation discounts for students over 30 in Istanbul are back!

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) Council has restructured the discount rate for public transportation for students over 30. Following a court ruling, the discount rate for these students has been set at 10%.

However, to benefit from this discount, students must prove that they are actively studying and not registered as employees or business owners through e-government records.

The monthly subscription fee for students under 30 is set at 381 lira, while for students over 30, it is 1908 lira.

With this new regulation, students over 30 studying in Istanbul will have equal rights with other students.
