The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a warning for flash floods and heavy rainfall!

After enduring scorching heat during the summer months, cool weather is gradually making its presence felt in Turkey. On September 11, heavy thunderstorms and downpours are expected in Kars, Ardahan, and the northeastern part of Erzurum. Residents are advised to be cautious of flash floods and water accumulation.

Meteorology warns that the rainfall is expected to be effective between 06:00 and 18:00. Local heavy rainfall is anticipated during this time.

According to weather forecasts, thunderstorms and heavy rainfall are expected in the northern, central, and eastern parts of Turkey. Especially on Saturday, heavy rainfall is expected in Trabzon, Rize, Kars, and Ardahan.

Meteorology has also issued warnings for this weekend. Attention is drawn to the risks of flash floods, water accumulation, lightning, and hail.
