Energy Support from Saudi Arabia to Syria

Saudi Arabia announced that it will donate 1.65 million barrels of crude oil to Syria. This development is considered a significant step in addressing Syria's energy needs.
The memorandum signed between the Syrian Ministry of Energy and the Saudi Development Fund is part of Syria's efforts to find solutions to its energy crisis. The country is struggling to meet its energy needs due to civil war and sanctions.

More than 70% of Syria's oil fields are under the occupation of PKK/YPG. This situation prevents Syria from fully benefiting from its rich oil resources.
Despite having rich oil resources, Syria has become unable to meet its energy needs due to civil war and international sanctions. Electricity is provided to households only at certain hours of the day.
