Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan visited Rome, Italy for an official visit. He met with Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani.

During the talks, the strengthening of bilateral relations between Turkey and Italy and the diversification of cooperation areas were discussed. The goal is to reach a trade volume of 40 billion dollars between the two countries.

Minister Fidan also emphasized the importance of cooperation in energy security in the Mediterranean and the fight against irregular migration. He raised the issue of genocide in Gaza as well.
