CHP is holding important meetings ahead of the upcoming extraordinary congress. Party leader Özgür Özel evaluated the process of appointing a trustee to the Istanbul Provincial Presidency.

In the meeting, it was stated that they would go to the extraordinary congress on September 21 with the same list. Özel commented, "We hope a process like in Istanbul does not occur."

CHP will hold a rally on Sunday, September 14, at Tandoğan Square in Ankara, with delegates from 81 provinces participating in the "We are setting off" campaign.

Former chairman Hikmet Çetin stated that he would keep watch in front of the General Center if a trustee was appointed. This shows the party's determination.

Özgür Özel expressed hope by saying, "I hope we will celebrate as the government on September 9."
