Özel stated, "There are 30,000 housing victims in Esenyurt, Istanbul. We need to make self-criticism on this issue." He also mentioned that the state has not provided enough support for urban transformation projects in İzmir.

He declared, "From now on, instead of mutual statements, a unified voice will be heard from CHP members," emphasizing their commitment to this approach.

Özel stressed that they are aware of İzmir's expectations and need to work harder on this issue.
