President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made significant statements in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. He emphasized that he will continue to defend the rights of the Turkish Cypriots.

In his speech on the 51st anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation, Erdoğan stated his support for a two-state solution. He called for the international community to recognize the TRNC.

He mentioned that the Turkish Cypriots have no more 60 years to lose and that they cannot waste time on the failed federation model proposed by the UN.

Erdoğan stated that he will continue to contribute to the economic and social development of the TRNC by laying the foundations of new projects that symbolize the struggle of the Turkish Cypriots for freedom.
