CHP Deputy Group Leader Murat Emir announced that he will fight to protect olive groves. He claimed that olives would be destroyed and vowed to resist this law to the end.

Emir emphasized that olives are a product of the citizens of the Republic of Turkey, stating, "It is a highly strategic product. It is our food source, cleans the environment, and has countless benefits," he said.

Emir stated that the AK Party is trying to destroy olive groves, saying, "There are 40,000 trees in the areas where coal will be extracted. Withdraw this law!"

He added that as CHP deputies, they will continue to fight to protect olive groves.
