Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu delivered important messages on the anniversary of March 31.

Imamoğlu stated, "A person who only respects the people's choice when it suits him has attacked the will of the nation for a year." He emphasized his belief in democracy.

Elected with 51.14% of the votes in the local elections on March 31, 2024, Imamoğlu pointed out the difficulties faced during this process, mentioning the detention of five district mayors and the appointment of trustees to two districts.

Imamoğlu promised, "I am now someone who has embarked on a journey for the rights, law, and welfare of 86 million citizens. Turkey will become a fair, prosperous, and predictable country," offering hope for the future.

On the anniversary of March 31, Imamoğlu stated, "I promise beautiful days," giving hope to the people of Istanbul.
