Investigation into CHP Municipalities: Şükrü Genç Detained

An investigation has been launched into CHP municipalities, leading to the detention of former Sarıyer Mayor Şükrü Genç. This situation holds significant importance in Turkey's political agenda.
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office initiated an investigation based on allegations of financing the terrorist organization DHKP/C through Sarıyer and Şişli municipalities between 2014 and 2016. A total of 34 individuals have been detained in this context.

The investigation details include the activities of the needs committee (IKOM) established to provide financial support to DHKP/C. It is alleged that support was provided to the organization through this committee.
