CHP Deputy Gürer Criticizes Retirement Holiday Bonuses

CHP Niğde Deputy Ömer Fethi Gürer made significant statements regarding retirement holiday bonuses.
In his speech at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Gürer criticized the government's attitude towards retirees. He stated, "The expectation for an increase in retirement holiday bonuses has once again disappointed us."

Gürer recalled that in 2018 the holiday bonus was 1000 TL and that at that time it was possible to buy 5 grams of gold, stating that now this amount is equivalent to just 1 gram of gold.
Emphasizing that retirees are struggling to make ends meet, Gürer expressed that a flat increase of 15,000 TL should be provided to all retirees.
He stated that the retirement holiday bonus should be equal to the minimum wage and urged the government to stop oppressing retirees.
Gürer's statements once again brought to the forefront the demands for improving the living standards of retirees.
