President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan expressed his condolences regarding the passing of Manisa Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek.

In a post on social media, Erdoğan stated, "I am deeply saddened by the unfortunate passing of Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek due to an accident. I pray for mercy for the late Zeyrek and extend my condolences to his family and the entire CHP organization."

Ferdi Zeyrek was injured while attempting to fix a malfunction in the pool motor room at his home on June 6 and was hospitalized. He passed away on June 9.

Following Zeyrek's death, many politicians expressed their condolences. CHP Chairman Özgür Özel stated, "I don't know how to write such a pain. We lost our closest, our best, our most hardworking one."

MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli also expressed his sadness over Zeyrek's passing and offered his condolences to his family, wishing him paradise.
