Avalanches, Landslides, and Mudslides: Latest Updates

In recent days, many regions in Turkey have experienced avalanches, landslides, and mudslides. These events are among the natural disasters frequently encountered during winter months.
In Diyarbakır, heavy snowfall has negatively affected daily life. Many village roads have been closed, and education has been suspended. Transport education has been paused for one day in Kulp and Çermik districts.

In Siirt, 39 village roads have been closed due to heavy snowfall. Teams are working hard to clear the blocked roads.

In Bingöl, snow depth has exceeded 10 centimeters. The snowfall has negatively impacted transportation, causing many village roads to close.
In Artvin, snow depth has exceeded 2 meters. This situation has negatively affected transportation and education in the region. Authorities are urging citizens to be cautious.

The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued warnings for heavy snowfall and icing across Turkey. There is a risk of avalanches, especially in high areas.
