Global Warming and Climate Change: The Pacific Ocean is Heating Up

Information about temperature records in the Pacific Ocean.

Global warming and climate change have become one of the most important issues of our time. The record temperatures recorded in the Pacific Ocean highlight this situation even further.

According to BBC analysis, the highest sea surface temperatures have been recorded in the North Pacific Ocean this summer. This situation indicates that climate change is increasing heat waves in the oceans.

Climate scientists cannot fully explain the reasons for this temperature increase. However, it is known that the number of extreme hot days in the oceans has tripled in recent years due to human-induced carbon emissions.

Zeke Hausfather from Berkeley Earth stated that the unusual temperatures in the North Pacific may be linked to another factor. It is thought that changes in ship fuels could also affect this situation.
